Please Tip!

Dear Students and Parents,

Thank you for participating and allowing your children to participate in Legacy’s first Snow Sports Club. Overall, the club was a success and most of the students (and teachers) had a wonderful time.

Powder Mountain was very nice and offered a free shuttle that they ran for 8 weeks, just for us. I have written Woody and Tom (the shuttle drivers) a thank you note, and I am currently collecting money, so that we can tip them. Please think about how many times you/your child rode the shuttle and try to tip at least a dollar a day. If you are unable to tip at this time that’s okay . . . we know that a lot of people are not in the best financial situation right now.

If you have pictures that you would like me to post on our club blog please e-mail me or bring in your SD card, so I can upload the picture(s). Thanks again for a wonderful season. I hope the club was successful enough that we’ll be able to do it again next year.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Williams & Mrs. Lorenzen

Riding Early

Dear Snow Sports Club Members,
Tuesday, January 19th, is a Quality Teaching Day-which means there is NO SCHOOL (for students)! Night riding starts at 3 p.m. A number of students expressed an interest in riding early, so we can enjoy some sunshine. There is an employee shuttle that departs the Eden parking lot at 2:30 p.m. If you plan on riding that shuttle please let me know before 2 p.m. TODAY! (That will be the only shuttle on 1/19/10, so if you aren’t riding that one you’ll need to find your own ride all the way to the Sundown Lodge.)
Thanks,
Mrs. Williams
P.S. During 8th period I’m in the computer lab north of my classroom.

Shuttle

Please establish carpools with other club members and decide if the carpool is driving all the way to Powder Mountain, or if you plan on driving to Eden and taking the shuttle from there. If you are planning on taking the shuttle Mrs. Williams needs to be notified each Tuesday, by 9 a.m. Once we have a number a special shuttle will be arranged to pick up and drop off the students.
Shuttle times:
Eden parking lot (1/8 mile north of Maverick on the east side)-departs at 4:15 p.m.
Sundown parking lot-departs at 8:00 p.m. (pick your students up at the Eden parking lot at 8:15 p.m.)

If you plan on driving all the way up please make sure you have four wheel drive and/or snow chains. When driving down remember to gear down and be careful!
